Dr. Ruthie Seymour-Sanftner
D.C.
Chiropractic, Neurofeedback Therapy
Dr. Ruthie recently moved back into the area and is the owner and founder of Embedded Roots, a neurofeedback and chiropractic clinic dedicated to helping people reconnect with their bodies, their nervous systems, and their communities in a grounded, sustainable way. Dr. Ruthie weaves together gentle, evidence‑informed chiropractic care, neurofeedback and nervous‑system education to support clients navigating stress, pain, burnout, and attention or mood challenges.
A graduate of Life Chiropractic College West (Doctor of Chiropractic) and Mills College (B.A.), Dr. Ruthie draws on a background in community work, program design, and student development to create spaces where people can show up as their full, authentic selves. In the clinic, that looks like slowing down, listening closely, and collaborating on care plans that honor each person’s story, culture, and goals—not just their symptoms.
Dr. Ruthie’s chiropractic approach integrates tools such as Graston, Activator, Hypervolt, and drop‑table techniques, always tailored to the individual’s comfort and needs. Embedded Roots was born from the belief that healing is relational and that small, consistent shifts can ripple out into families, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Whether Dr. Ruthie is reading a brain map, adjusting a spine, or simply holding space on a hard day, the intention is the same: to help people feel more regulated, resourced, and at home in their own bodies.
Outside of session, Dr. Ruthie loves exploring the Bay, spending time with family and community, and tending to practices that keep her own nervous system rooted—so she can continue to show up fully for others.
